An exciting opportunity exists for a Cook to join our kitchen brigade with world class facilities! Reporting to the Head Chef, the roles will create memorable dining experiences, with consistency in flavour and a variety of offerings. Mountain Heritage has a rich history in Katoomba and as new owners we want to take the dining experience to the next level by creating a destination fine dining restaurant for hotel guests and the public.
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for:
- Effectively and efficiently running a cooking section in-line with company standards.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of interesting and popular menu ideas.
- Inspire and energise the team to be the best they can be.
- Follow policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain strong relations, internally and externally.
- Consistently deliver high-quality meals.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Follow WH&S compliance at all times.
We are looking for a Cook who:
- Has a high level of personal morale and appearance.
- A positive attitude and willingness to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, productivity and effectiveness!
- Food Handling Certificate.
- Tertiary qualification in Commercial Cookery and/or equivalent experience in a similar role with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- You will have the ability to lead and influence a kitchen brigade.
- Display core values of Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Honesty and Pride.
