Maintenance General Hand – Full Time

We’re on the lookout for a hands-on legend to join our Facilities team as a Maintenance General Hand.

Reporting to the Executive Manager – Facilities, you’ll help keep our Hurstville site in top shape, including our Travelodge Hotel, with occasional support across Club Central Menai and Georges River Sailing Club. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly how we like it.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be the go-to for general maintenance and upkeep, including:

• Patching and painting to a high standard

• Minor carpentry repairs and general fixes

• Replacing door handles and locks

• Clearing plumbing blockages, fixing leaking taps and shower heads

• Troubleshooting minor electrical equipment issues

• Replacing lights and globes

• Minor kitchen equipment repairs

• General cleaning and delivery tasks

You’ll also need to:

• Hold (or be willing to obtain) a White Card

• Have a current driver’s licence

• Work safely at heights and follow safe manual handling procedures

• Manage your time well, prioritise tasks and work independently

• Think on your feet and create practical temporary workarounds when needed

What we’re looking for

• Experience in a maintenance or general hand role

• Strong understanding of safe manual handling

• Clear communication skills

• Good grooming and presentation

• Someone who can have a laugh and enjoy being part of a team

Hours

Monday to Friday, 7am – 3pm
(Hours may vary depending on operational needs)
Includes an on-call component.
