Lead, mentor, and grow our Group Events Team across multiple venues, including a brand-new opening at Georges River Sailing Club (GRSC).

As we prepare for the opening of a brand-new venue at GRSC, we’re seeking a Group Events Manager who can guide and support our team through this exciting next stage.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of 4 event professionals, helping them thrive and succeed.
• Oversee enquiry management and ensure smooth conversion of leads into memorable, well-executed events.
• Work closely with venue leadership and F&B teams to ensure clarity, collaboration, and seamless guest experiences.
• Support the development of consistent processes and standards across our events team and venues.
• Balance operational oversight with hands-on involvement, particularly as we launch our new GRSC venue.

• Has proven experience in event management — experience within the Club industry is highly regarded.
• Enjoys mentoring and developing people, with a focus on coaching for success.
• Has strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to streamline processes and ensure consistency.
• Is motivated by enquiry conversion and guest satisfaction rather than a pure sales focus.
• Thrives in a dynamic environment and brings a calm, solutions-focused approach.
