Cash Control Operator
Georges River Sailing Club - Part time

Backed by Alt. Hospitality Group, we’ve transformed this iconic club into a modern dining and entertainment destination — and now we’re looking for a Cash Control Operator who can keep our financial operations tight, accurate, and running smoothly behind the scenes.

 

The Role

As the Cash Control Operator (CCO) you will be responsible for taking control and accountability for the Club's float, till reconciliation, and daily banking. You must have a solid understanding of the cash life cycle and be able to confidently backtrack variances and identify discrepancies for remedy.

 

This role works closely with our Operations Team and is supported by the Finance Department. Shifts are predominantly mornings, with some flexibility on days and start times for the right candidate.

 

In addition to core cash control duties, the CCO will also support Porta administration, including maintaining accurate Porta records, assisting with updates, and ensuring compliance requirements are met. The role will also assist with general reception administration, such as handling member and guest enquiries, preparing documents, and providing occasional front-of-house support when required.

What we need from you:

  • Driven by accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organised
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Bookkeeping skills (desirable)
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Excited about taking ownership of the cash control function
  • Calm, stable, and professional in nature
  • A genuine sense of humility and willingness to assist others
  • Confident in reconciling all cash control components of the operation
  • Thorough in reporting discrepancies and documenting steps taken to resolve them
  • Willing to assist with Porta admin and reception admin tasks as required

Candidates will be required to undertake and clear a NSW Police Background Check and AML/CTF clearance.
