An exciting opportunity exists for a Cook to join our kitchen brigade with world class facilities! Reporting to the Head Chef, the roles will create memorable dining experiences, with consistency in flavour and a variety of offerings. Mountain Heritage has a rich history in Katoomba and as new owners we want to take the dining experience to the next level by creating a destination fine dining restaurant for hotel guests and the public.

We are looking for someone who will be responsible for:

• Effectively and efficiently running a cooking section in-line with company standards.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of interesting and popular menu ideas.
• Inspire and energise the team to be the best they can be.
• Follow policies and procedures at all times.
• Maintain strong relations, internally and externally.
• Consistently deliver high-quality meals.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order.
• Follow WH&S compliance at all times. 

We are looking for a Cook who:  

• Has a high level of personal morale and appearance.
• A positive attitude and willingness to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, productivity and effectiveness!
• Food Handling Certificate.
• Tertiary qualification in Commercial Cookery and/or equivalent experience in a similar role with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• You will have the ability to lead and influence a kitchen brigade.
• Display core values of Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Honesty and Pride.
