Maintenance General Hand - Full Time

A fantastic opportunity exists to join the group in the capacity of a Maintenance General Hand. Reporting to the Executive Manager – Facilities, the role will be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of our premises at Hurstville including a Travelodge Hotel and occasional assistance across our properties Club Central Menai and Georges River Sailing Club.

We are looking for someone who will be responsible for:

• Knowledge and ability to rectify issues relating to; patching and painting, repairing minor carpentry issues/damage, replacing door handles & locks, plumbing blockages, leaking taps & shower heads, troubleshooting minor electrical equipment issues, replacing lighting equipment and globes, minor repairs of kitchen equipment, cleaning and delivery jobs.
• Hold or have the ability to obtain a White Card.
• Current drivers licence
• Ability to patch and paint to a high standard.
• Have the ability to safely climb a ladder or move objects as per safe manual handling procedures.
• Be able to multitask, prioritise, meet service KPIs and work unsupervised.
• Excellent attention to detail along with verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve and design temporary work arounds for issues quickly.

• Relevant experience in maintenance or general hand roles
• Good demonstration and understanding of manual handling
• Good communication skills
• Good grooming and presentation

Shifts are:

• Monday - Friday 7am-3pm (hours may change depending on Operational needs) with an on-call component
